Entrepreneurship
I had the opportunity to take a class at UCSC called Startup Entrepreneurship Academy through the College Scholars Honors Program. In this class, students worked together in groups to go through all of the motions of starting a business. We covered everything from an elevator pitch, to the business model canvas, and even made a prototype.
Cup of Home
The business idea my team and I created was Cup of Home, a one-of-a-kind soup bar for all walks of life to experience international flavors. We wanted to create a quick and convenient soup restaurant that would allow customers to build their own soup or try one of the seasonal flavors. The prototype we made was a menu, which is featured here.
Finding our customer segment
After countless interviews with friends, family, peers, and more we finally were able to find our customer segment. Young adults seemed the most excited about our brand and believed they would be regular customers. We created this map to show the interactions between the customer segment, distribution channels, key resources, and partners.
TAM SAM SOM Map
My team and I made this map to represent the Total Addressable Market (TAM), Serviceable Addressable Market (SAM), and the Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM).
